Who We Are

The KIRA platform — an app and website that let you browse and book vehicles from multiple rental companies in one place. The platform is operated by Al Sahaba Investment Co. L.L.C. (شركة السحابة للإستثمار ش.م.م), Sultanate of Oman Commercial Registration No. 1558387, Muscat Governorate, Sultanate of Oman ("KIRA", "we").

By using the platform, creating an account, or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. The Most Important Thing to Know: KIRA Is an Intermediary

  • The vehicles listed belong to independent rental companies (each a "Rental Company"), which are responsible for them.
  • When you book, the rental contract is concluded directly between you and the Rental Company — KIRA is neither the owner nor the lessor, but the technical intermediary connecting you.
  • Vehicle handover, condition, maintenance, insurance, and performance of the rental contract are all the Rental Company's responsibility.

2. Your Account

  • The platform is available to persons aged 18 or over.
  • Browsing is available without an account; an account is required to complete bookings and to use favourites and chats.
  • Accounts are created with your phone number and verified with a one-time code (OTP). Keep your phone and code safe; you are responsible for what is done through your account.
  • Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
  • You may delete your account at any time from within the app or via the account-deletion page.

3. Booking and Prices

  • The price displayed at the moment you complete the booking is the final price for the booked period, and the Rental Company may not demand any increase at pickup. Any mandatory additional amounts — including the refundable security deposit — are shown to you before you confirm.
  • The price does not include charges that may arise during the rental under the rental contract and your actual usage (such as fuel, exceeding the kilometre limit, traffic fines, late-return fees).
  • A booking passes through two stages: request, then confirmation. It binds both parties only once confirmed.
  • Payment is at pickup to the Rental Company, unless an electronic payment method is available and you expressly choose it.

4. Collecting the Vehicle

  • At pickup you must present valid documents: proof of identity (ID card or passport) and a driving licence valid in the country of pickup, plus any additional requirements the Rental Company displayed on the booking page.
  • The Rental Company may refuse handover if you do not meet these requirements or if your details prove inaccurate; KIRA bears no liability for such refusal.
  • Inspect the vehicle at pickup and document its condition (photos/notes on the handover form) before leaving the handover location — first and foremost for your own protection.

5. Cancellation and No-Show

  • You may cancel a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
  • Later cancellation, or failure to appear, is subject to the cancellation policy displayed on the booking page.
  • If the Rental Company cannot provide the booked vehicle, you are entitled to a substitute of the same or a higher category at the same price — if that does not happen, tell us through the support channels.

6. During the Rental

  • Comply with the rental contract signed with the Rental Company and with the traffic laws of the country of use.
  • Traffic violations, fines, and charges arising from your use of the vehicle during the rental period are yours to bear under the rental contract and the law.
  • The vehicle may be driven only by persons covered by the contract documents, per the Rental Company's conditions.

7. Ratings and Content

  • Ratings are available to users who completed an actual booking and must reflect a genuine experience.
  • False, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content is prohibited; KIRA may remove content that violates this.
  • By posting a rating or content you grant KIRA the right to display it on the platform.

8. Prohibited Use

The following are prohibited: creating fake or repeated bookings in bad faith; impersonating others; attempting to breach or disrupt the platform; using platform or Rental Company data beyond booking purposes; or any unlawful use. KIRA may restrict or suspend violating accounts.

9. KIRA's Limitation of Liability

  • We take care over the accuracy of displayed information; vehicle, price, and availability data originate from the Rental Company, which is responsible for their accuracy.
  • KIRA does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, and is not liable for indirect damages.
  • Disputes arising from the rental contract (vehicle condition, deposit, fines, etc.) are with the Rental Company; we will assist you in good faith through the support channels without being a party to the dispute.
  • Nothing in these Terms diminishes rights granted to you by law that cannot be contracted away.

10. Privacy

We process your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy — including sharing what is necessary with the Rental Company solely to fulfil your booking.

11. Intellectual Property

The platform, its design, and the KIRA mark belong to KIRA; using the platform grants you no right in them beyond personal use for booking.

12. Amendment of the Terms

KIRA may amend these Terms as the need arises without requiring your explicit consent, notifying you of material amendments through the platform a reasonable period before they take effect; your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Amendments required by law, security measures, and changes purely in your favour take effect immediately. No amendment affects an existing confirmed booking.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and the courts of Muscat have jurisdiction over any dispute concerning them — without prejudice to any protection granted to you by the mandatory law of your country of residence.
