KIRA TV — a live operations room on your office wall, and a self-service booking screen for customers that runs with zero human involvement
At most car rental offices, answering "what's happening right now?" means opening a computer and asking a staff member: where are our cars right now? Did today's delivery run late? Is a car's insurance document about to expire? And on the other side of the same office, a walk-in customer has no idea what's actually available to rent, or at what price, unless they ask someone. KIRA has launched KIRA TV to close both gaps at once: one TV screen mounted on the wall, running around the clock, showing your team everything it needs to see in real time — or turned into a showcase where a customer books their own car with a single scan, with no staff member ever involved.
The gap: operations run from one screen, and customers wait for staff to know what's available
Most car rental offices — no matter how large — run their day-to-day operations from a single computer screen that only one staff member opens. To find out "where are our cars right now?" or "did today's delivery run late?" or "is a car's insurance document about to expire?", a manager or supervisor has to open the dashboard themselves and check manually — and that doesn't happen constantly, so surprises pile up: a late delivery discovered after the fact, an insurance document that lapses without renewal, scheduled maintenance that gets forgotten.
On the other side of the same office, a customer or visitor stands there with no clear idea of what's actually available to rent right now, at what price, with what specs — so they have to ask, wait their turn behind a staff member already busy with another customer, or simply walk away. Both gaps — operational and commercial — share one root cause: the information already exists inside the system, it's just not in front of anyone's eyes at the moment it's needed.
What is KIRA TV?
KIRA TV is a new product from KIRA that turns any smart TV in your office into a display that runs automatically around the clock — no remote control needed, and no one has to open or refresh it manually. The screen is paired once with your company (and optionally a specific branch), then runs on its own, refreshing its data roughly every 30 seconds, designed to be read clearly from 3-4 meters away — the same way airport screens and scoreboards are designed.
At setup, you choose whichever of two modes fits where the screen will hang:
- Operations mode (for an ops room or management office): a live operations room showing delivery and return activity, live fleet location on a map, document and maintenance alerts, and a staff leaderboard.
- Car showcase mode (for a reception area or storefront): an appealing display of available cars with real photos and prices, plus an instant booking code next to every car.
Every company picks whichever mode fits each screen — and with multiple branches, you can mount an operations screen in management and a showcase screen in every reception area, each running its own mode.
Operations mode: a live ops room on your office wall
This mode targets the internal team — the manager, the supervisor, and operations staff. Instead of opening the system manually to check on everything, the screen rotates automatically through complete scenes:
- Delivery and return activity: every operation scheduled today with a live countdown ("1 hour 45 minutes left") that automatically flips to a red overdue alert — with no one needing to watch the clock.
- Live fleet map: where every car is right now, clearly distinguishing moving, temporarily stopped, and offline vehicles — a full fleet view without opening a separate tracking app.
- Document and maintenance alerts: insurance or inspection documents approaching expiry or already expired, and maintenance due by mileage — surfaced automatically before they become a real problem.
- Current and scheduled maintenance: any car in the workshop right now, and what's coming up soon, with the workshop name and category.
- Staff leaderboard: every employee's deliveries, returns, and maintenance requests this week and this month — an extra motivating touch for the operations team.
- Scrolling activity ticker: the latest events in a moving footer bar, plus an instant on-screen celebration the moment a delivery, return, or maintenance job completes.
Car showcase mode: self-service booking, no human involvement
This mode targets the reception area or storefront — anywhere a potential customer might walk past. Instead of relying on a staff member to tell them what's available, the screen automatically displays:
- A rotating featured car: a large real photo of the car, its specs (seats, transmission, fuel, color), model year, minimum rental period, daily mileage allowance, and its daily/weekly/monthly price.
- A grid of available cars: several cars shown together with real photos, prices, and plates, without repeating the same make/model/year — even if the company owns ten identical cars, only one is shown so the display stays varied.
- An instant booking QR code next to every car: a customer scans it with their phone and lands directly on that exact car's booking page on the company's website — no one has to open anything for them, and no waiting in line behind a busy staff member.
- The displayed branch's WhatsApp number: for a customer who prefers direct contact over instant booking.
- Available-car counts per branch (for multi-branch companies), and a general QR code at the bottom of the screen linking to the company's full website.
This is what booking automation without human involvement actually means: the customer discovers the car, sees its real price, then books it themselves from their phone — three steps with no staff member involved and no waiting required.
Setup: from the box to the wall in minutes
KIRA TV is designed to be simple enough for a non-technical staff member to set up, and to keep running on its own afterward with zero maintenance:
- No special hardware needed: it runs through the browser of any internet-connected smart TV, or through the dedicated KIRA TV app — free on Google Play for Android TV devices — for a more reliable experience (auto-launches when the device powers on, with no further intervention needed).
- One-step pairing: the screen displays a 6-digit code, which any staff member enters once from the company dashboard — and the screen starts running immediately.
- Always self-updating: its data refreshes automatically roughly every 30 seconds, and any new improvement from KIRA reaches the screen automatically within minutes — with no manual intervention from your team.
- No remote or daily interaction needed: a pure display screen — mount it and forget it, and it keeps running 24 hours a day.
Who this is for, and how to get started
The value grows with company size: the more branches, the bigger the team, and the higher the daily operation volume, the greater the need for real-time monitoring that doesn't wait for someone to open a device — and the more visitors passing through a reception area, the more value there is in a screen that shows what's available and books it on its own. That's why KIRA TV is built specifically for medium and large companies with multiple branches, bigger teams, and active reception areas — without stopping any other company from benefiting too.
Every company starts with one screen for free, then scales up as needed (an operations screen for management, and a showcase screen for every branch). KIRA TV is part of KIRA's full platform — alongside fleet tracking, advanced accounting, and the KIRA Partners mobile app — so everything you see on the screen comes from the same system that actually runs your contracts and your fleet, not a separate copy that can lag behind.
